Suzanne Rix Appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany

Suzanne Rix has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Suzanne is a business immigration lawyer in the law office of Cox & Palmer and speaks German fluently. In her new role as Honorary Consul, she will provide essential consular services to German citizens located in the Maritimes.

The certificate of appointment was presented at a reception held in Halifax by Joern Rosenberg, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ottawa. At the reception, various countries including Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, Latvia, Korea, Spain, Turkey, Austria and Brazil were represented by their Consular Corps.

Suzanne said “I am very honoured to be appointed as the Honorary Consul for Germany for the Maritime Provinces and I look forward to furthering German-Canadian relations in our region.”
