St. John’s Associates Help Businesses Take Flight

March 21, 2012

St. John’s associates Mandy Woodland and Chris Payne will be participating in CBDC’s Angel Business Development Program on March 22-23. The Angel Business Development Program is a program which caters to the needs of young entrepreneurs within Newfoundland and Labrador.

Similar to a Dragons’ Den style competition, the first day of the event will feature three business plan presentations that will be reviewed by a panel of judges. The winner of the competition will be awarded $5,000 in capital to start or expand their business. The second day of the event will focus solely on one-on-one consulting.

Mandy and Chris will be participating in the consulting component of the event and will be providing advice in areas of Intellectual Property and Corporate Law. Their advice will help students make educated decisions about their business ideas, and will help lay a solid foundation to grow ideas into business.

Cox & Palmer is pleased to be a bronze sponsor of the event and wishes all competitors good luck.
