Sydney is an associate in Cox & Palmer’s Saint John office. She earned a law degree at the Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law in 2017, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at Mount Allison University in 2014. After completing her articles with Cox & Palmer, she was called to the New Brunswick Bar in June 2018, and to the Nova Scotia Bar in October 2018.
Sydney’s primary practice area is family law. She is skilled at assisting her clients navigate the emotional experience, ensuring the best possible outcome for themselves and their families. In 2022, she completed a professional development course in Mediation & Dispute Resolution. This alternative training and practice, allows her to act as a mediator between two parties to reach client-centered solutions. Additional benefits of using a Mediator include: more clear and concise and therefore efficient, and often less stressful outcomes.
Not only is Sydney prepared to assist in separation and divorce, but she also works with each client to ensure the needs of the family and business are protected by providing detailed cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts.
Sydney also assists clients in handling family law matters that encompass corporate issues and works with clients to protect the family legacy for future generations.
