Matt McEwen

Matt is a partner in our Halifax office. He maintains a diverse litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation, insurance, and construction matters and has represented clients at all levels of court in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Before obtaining his law degree in 2013, Matt received his BA from the University of New Brunswick in 2002. In the intervening years, Matt worked predominantly in the finance industry.

Experience

Matt has experience representing and assisting clients with construction disputes, contractual disputes, real property issues, consumer liability, shareholder disputes, oppression claims, mechanics’ liens, professional negligence, and financial matters.

In addition to litigating disputes at all levels of court, Matt also has experience using mediation and arbitration to reach a resolution.
