Kassia Curley

Kassia was called to the Bar in 2022 and has since developed a dynamic legal practice focused on family law, litigation, and criminal defence. Known for a compassionate yet results-oriented approach, Kassia brings both empathy and pragmatism to each case, ensuring that clients feel supported while navigating complex legal challenges. Whether advocating for clients in the courtroom, or negotiating resolutions outside of it, Kassia is committed to delivering clear, thoughtful and strategic advice.

In addition to her litigation practice, Kassia is currently the only licenced provincial adoption liaison in Prince Edward Island. Kassia plays a unique and meaningful role in helping to build and unite families through adoption. Her work reflects a broader commitment to supporting individuals during some of the most personal and pivotal moments of their lives.

Experience

Kassia’s experience includes:

• Representing parents in a range of family law proceedings, including motions, hearings, pre-motion conferences, and pre-trial conferences involving parenting time, child support, spousal support, and the division of net family property.
• Preparing and advancing adoption applications, helping clients navigate the legal process of expanding their families.
• Engaging in complex negotiations involving the division of high-value net family property.
• Representing clients in various criminal law matters, including sentencing hearings and bail (show cause) hearings.
• Acting on behalf of the Crown Attorney before the Criminal Code Review Board.
