Jordan Brown is counsel in our Charlottetown office. He completed his education at the University of Prince Edward Island (BBA, Min. Econ., 2002) and University of New Brunswick Law School (LL.B. 2005), before being called to the Bar in 2006. Jordan maintains a general legal practice with a focus on corporate and commercial law, real property transactions, and general litigation, and has appeared in all levels of Court within Prince Edward Island.

Jordan’s career includes experience in the Government of Prince Edward Island, beginning in 2015 with his election to the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, and followed by his representation of the electoral district of Charlottetown-Brighton as a member of the Liberal Party until 2019. In October 2017, he was appointed to the Executive Council of Prince Edward Island as Minister of Education, Early Learning and Culture. The following January, Jordan was given additional roles as Minister of Justice and Public Safety, and Attorney General. He also served as Vice Chair of the Cabinet Committee on Priorities, Chaired the Special Legislative Committee on Democratic Renewal, Vice Chaired the Standing Committee on Finance and was a member of the Standing Committee on Education and Economic Development, and the Standing Committee on Health and Wellness, over the course of his term in Office. In 2019, he returned to the firm to focus on his law practice.

Jordan lives in Charlottetown with his wife Amy, his two young children, Finlay and Aulay, and their dog Bozzi.
