Our Halifax office is currently seeking an Information Governance Specialist to join our team.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with legal and staff teams, assisting with the management of information throughout the firm to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements and firm policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the lifecycle of firm and client/matter records.
  • Liaises with external vendors regarding offsite record collection, storage, and retrieval
  • Supports the collation, review, update, release, transfer, disposition, or deletion of records.
  • Participates in the training on procedures and guidelines related to information management.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required, college or university education preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience, preferably in records management, information governance or data management.
  • The ability to analyze data and interpret information to improve the management of client and administrative records.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of firm records and information.
  • Familiarity with the management of network file shares.
  • Experience with Microsoft software, specifically, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
