We currently have an opening for a Immigration Paralegal in our Halifax office.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of a team-focused environment, your role will be to review, organize, and analyze documents; prepare immigration applications; request and compile information and documentation from clients; maintain ongoing communication and provide status updates to clients.

Every day will be dynamic and engaging. Part of your day-to-day tasks will include performing general office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions, and other duties as required. You will also be expected to stay abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of immigration law, regulations, and policies.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you will need a paralegal diploma or equivalent, and preferably 3+ years’ experience as an immigration paralegal. You also possess strong competency in MS Office (particularly Word, and Excel), superior typing and dicta-transcription skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Your strong organizational and time management skills will be key in meeting tight deadlines, and your exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills will ensure you provide superior client service. As a self-starter, you’re able to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative. Your willingness to learn and contribute to the team will also be highly valued.
