We are currently seeking a Immigration Paralegal to support our Halifax Office.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review, organize and analyze documents;
  • Accurately prepare immigration applications, both temporary and permanent, including online work permit applications;
  • Request and compile information and documentation from clients in a timely manner;
  • Maintain ongoing communication and provide status updates to clients;
  • Process large volumes of documents, with ability to use technology to store and organize emails and files;
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in immigration law, regulation and policy;
  • Utilize computer technology in an efficient and productive manner;
  • Perform general office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions;
  • Other duties as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful completion of paralegal diploma or equivalent, and 3+ years’ experience as an immigration paralegal;
  • Strong competency in the usage of MS Office (particularly Word, and Excel), paired with superior typing and dicta-transcription skills, and excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative;
  • The willingness to learn and contribute to the team
