Matthew is a litigation Associate in Cox & Palmer’s Halifax office. His practice includes commercial litigation, estate litigation, medical defence, and insurance defence.
Matthew studied history at Mount Allison University (BA, 2016) and Queen’s University (MA, 2019) before starting a small business helping students prepare for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). He went on to earn a law degree from the University of British Columbia’s Allard School of Law (2024), where he was awarded the James Beatty Ramsay Scholarship and the M.F. Jefferson Smith Memorial Award. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2025.
A former tree planter, Matthew continues to enjoy spending much of his free time outdoors, especially camping in Kejimkujik National Park.
