BIO

Krystyn is an associate lawyer in Cox & Palmer’s Moncton office, where she practices corporate and commercial law.

Krystyn holds an Honours Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Western Ontario, an LLB from the University of Windsor (2008) and a JD from the University of Detroit (2008). She articled in Hamilton, Ontario, was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009, and admitted to the New York Bar in 2013. Before joining Cox & Palmer, Krystyn practiced with a boutique litigation firm in Toronto focused on state accountability and Indigenous matters, and later worked with a First Nation Political Territorial Organization in Northern Ontario.

Krystyn was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2025 and brings extensive, client-focused experience to her practice.

Experience

  • Counsel to 77 Northern and Remote Ontario First Nations in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) National Inquiry;
  • Support of Nishnawbe Aski Nation intervention in First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada et al and Attorney General of Canada – negotiations and mediation;
  • First Nations policing work in Ontario (general corporate matters, employment, funding negotiations, legislative amendments, creation of association); and
  • Sessional instructor at University of Windsor – “Clients” & “Access to Justice”.
