John is an associate lawyer in the Business Law Group at Cox & Palmer, with a unique practice that spans both Entertainment Law and Real Property groups. He advises clients across a range of entertainment, corporate, commercial and real estate matters, bringing a strategic, business-minded approach to his work.

John obtained his LL.B. with First Class Honours from The University of Law in London, England, before completing his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of British Columbia. He is called to the bar in both Nova Scotia and British Columbia, allowing him to advise clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Cox & Palmer, John practiced at a leading national firm in Vancouver, where he gained significant experience in commercial real estate transactions. His work involved advising developers, financial institutions, and pension funds on buying, selling, leasing, financing, and developing a variety of real estate assets. He has also provided pro bono work to the entertainment industry, specifically supporting music and multidisciplinary conceptual artists.

At Cox & Palmer, John contributes his expertise to both the entertainment and real property sectors, helping clients navigate complex legal issues while providing practical and actionable advice.
