BIO

Julia is an associate at Cox & Palmer’s St. John’s office. She began her career with the firm as a summer student in 2022 and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in June 2025. Julia is building her legal practice in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance litigation, employment and labour, wills and estates and family law.

Julia earned a Juris Doctor in 2024 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at McGill University in 2021, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. During law school, Julia was a member of Pro Bono Dalhousie’s High School Co-Op Program. She was also a member of the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service, where she represented students accused of academic violations in hearings and helped draft and edit written submissions.

Outside of her legal practice, Julia enjoys Pilates, yoga, and spin classes, as well as trying out local restaurants.

Experience

Julia’s academic background in Political Science and Social Entrepreneurship sparked her interest in advocacy and complex problem-solving, which she continued to develop during law school. Her years of competitive hockey and experience in vocal music have helped shape her strong work ethic and collaborative approach which she aims to bring to her litigation practice.
