Ryan P.W. Lebans

Ryan is a Partner in Cox & Palmer’s Halifax office, practicing mainly in the areas of insurance law, medical defence, and commercial litigation.

He is a graduate of Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law. While at Dalhousie, Ryan was the winner of numerous academic awards and scholarships, including the 2013 Smith Shield moot competition.

Experience

Ryan has significant experience as counsel to major insurers and independent adjusters in responding to claims including automobile accidents, property damage, professional liability, errors and omissions, product liability, and occupiers’ liability. In his commercial litigation practice, Ryan represents companies, sole proprietors, and financial institutions in all forms of commercial disputes. Ryan also acts as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and its member physicians, in both civil and regulatory matters. In all areas of his practice, Ryan prides himself on his practical, client-focused approach to dispute resolution.
