Michael Bowlin was admitted to the New Brunswick bar in 1975. He is New Brunswick Chair of the Insurance Practice Group of Cox & Palmer.

In the past, Michael has served as Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the New Brunswick Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, acting claims manager of Lawyers Professional Liability Reserve Fund of the New Brunswick bar and President of Risk Management Counsel of Canada.

Michael is recognized as a leading practitioner by the publication Best Lawyers in Canada for his practice in the areas of insurance law and personal injury litigation. In his practice, he has been involved in complex litigation cases in the fields of construction, tort, contract, environmental and professional responsibility.  Recently, he co-authored the chapter New Brunswick Regulatory Controls in the text Canadian Environmental Law.  Michael has often moderated or presented programs in insurance, environmental and professional liability law in Canada and the United Kingdom.

He has appeared at all levels of Courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
