Born and raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Katie is an associate with the Charlottetown office of Cox & Palmer.  She works with clients on corporate-commercial, family, property and business-related legal issues.  Katie has provided legal advice to businesses, both large and small, including facilitating financing, buying and selling and contract negotiations.

Katie’s diverse background and experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders has taught her the value of relationships and how to navigate unchartered territory with ease, build rapport quickly, and advocate strongly.  She is an active listener who takes great pride in meeting her clients’ needs and ensuring the best possible outcomes with quality work and efficiency.

Prior to graduating from Dalhousie University with a Juris Doctor, Katie worked with the Solicitor General Canada and Public Safety Canada in Ottawa, gaining valuable experience in Parliamentary affairs, Cabinet matters and communications.  Additionally, she worked internationally in the non-profit sector from 2007-2010 for a not-for-profit child rights organization.

Katie is active in a number of community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Charlottetown Federal Liberal Riding Association, the Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Liberal Party of Prince Edward Island.

Katie lives in Charlottetown with her family.  She enjoys travel to faraway places, curling and politics.
