Jim O’Connell, KC, is Counsel in the Saint John office of Cox & Palmer. He was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 1982 after completing his education at the University of New Brunswick. Jim was appointed the designation of Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 2011.
Jim conducts a general litigation practice with a particular emphasis on commercial, environmental, family and insurance litigation. He has extensive experience before both the Trial and Family Divisions of the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick. Jim also has exposure before various administrative tribunals, including the Motor Carrier Board and the New Brunswick Labour and Employment Board. He is a frequent contributor to the Bar Admission Course on Advocacy and Civil Litigation.
