Bill Cabel was born in Chatham (N.B.) and moved to Fredericton at a young age. He has resided in Fredericton for most of his life. Bill attended St. Thomas University (BA 1977) as well as UNB Law School (LLB 1980). He was admitted to the New Brunswick Law Society in 1981. Bill has been engaged in the general practice of law for 35 years and has a broad range of practice areas including civil litigation, family, corporate and commercial, real property, wills, estates, trusts and contracts.

He has appeared in all levels of the Courts in New Brunswick as well as various Provincial Boards and Tribunals. In the area of civil litigation, Bill has been involved in numerous trials involving real estate (boundary line disputes, quieting of titles, trespass actions), contracts, wrongful dismissal actions, (representing employers and employees), construction claims, wills, estates, commercial disputes, corporate matters, personal injury claims and family matters (divorce, property division, spousal support, child support, custody and access, guardianship and inform persons applications).

In his spare time Bill likes to golf, ski, exercise and spend time with family and friends.
