BIO

George has been a lawyer for more than 25 years, and currently serves as Cox & Palmer’s Chief Executive Officer. After obtaining a B.A. (Hons) at Mount Allison University in 1989, followed by an LL.B. at the University of New Brunswick, George completed an LL.M. at the University of Cambridge. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995, and the New Brunswick Bar in 1998.

George maintains a commercial litigation and transaction practice with emphasis on disputes, transactions and arbitrations relating to Commercial Financing, Securities and Secured Transactions, Bankruptcy and Insolvency, Product Liability, Natural Resources and Energy, and Insurance.

George regularly represents chartered banks, manufacturers, insurers and numerous other commercial entities. He has appeared before the courts of New Brunswick, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, along with numerous boards and tribunals including the Ontario Securities Commission. George began his career with the Toronto office of Stikeman Elliott, one of Canada’s leading law firms, where his practice focused on commercial and insolvency litigation.

George is the past chair of the Board of the Romeo LeBlanc Greater Moncton International Airport and past chair of the Board of Regents of Mount Allison University.
