Chika is a partner in our Halifax office and was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2018. She holds an accounting degree from Acadia University and earned her law degree at the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University.

Chika values volunteering her time in the community, she has chaired the Nova Scotia Canadian Bar Association Securities Law subsection and served on Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, Nova Scotia Chapter (CABL-NS) board for 7 years. Chika currently serves on the boards of YWCA Halifax, Hope Blooms, and Nova Scotia Career Development Association.

Experience

Chika has a broad-based practice in corporate and commercial law primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, commercial real estate, general business law and non-profit organizations. She also maintains a practice in wills and estates helping clients navigate estate planning and administering an estate. Chika’s practice allows her to provide valuable advice and guidance to clients in order to achieve their goals at any stage.
