Mandy Woodland Receives Trade-mark Designation

St. John’s associate, Mandy Woodland has recently received her designation as a registered Trade-mark Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, an agency of Industry Canada.

Dealing with issues relating to the registration, maintenance and protection of trade-marks, registered trade-mark agents are the only professionals permitted under the Trade-marks Act to represent and act on behalf of trade-mark owners before the Trade-marks Office.

Mandy’s practice focuses on intellectual property law, civil and commercial litigation, privacy and access law, and fisheries and marine law. Mandy advises companies and individuals on copyright and trade-mark issues, as well as the licensing of intellectual property and various legal issues associated with the internet and technology such as infringement, defamation, security, privacy, and online contracting.
