Leanne O’Leary, KC Appointed as King’s Counsel
Cox & Palmer is proud to congratulate Leanne O’Leary on her recent appointment to King’s Counsel.
Awarded each year to a select group of lawyers for their outstanding service and contribution to the legal profession, this appointment recognizes Leanne’s professional integrity, depth of experience, and the high esteem in which she is held by her clients and peers.
In addition to this recent honour, Leanne is consistently recognized as a leading practitioner in civil and commercial litigation, insurance, and personal injury law by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directories and in the publication The Best Lawyers™ in Canada.
In addition to guiding the firm as Managing Partner of the St. John’s office and a director of the firm’s regional board, Leanne has dedicated her time with various organizations for the benefit of the legal profession and the community. She has served two terms as an Elected Bencher of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and was a member and former Chair of the Society’s Education Committee. Her volunteer work has included board positions with the Public Legal Information Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the YM-YWCA of St. John’s, for which she was a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal.
