Gerald W. O’Brien & Lucie Richard Appointed Queen’s Counsel

Cox & Palmer is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Gerald W. O’Brien, QC, and Lucie Richard, QC, as Queen’s Counsel. The Queen’s Counsel designation is awarded each year to a select group of lawyers for their outstanding service, dedication and commitment to the legal profession in New Brunswick.

Gerald is a partner in our Saint John office. He practices in the areas of Tax, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Commercial, Construction, and Corporate Finance for domestic and international clients. Gerald is a past Chair of the Saint John United Way Campaign and past Chair of the Saint John Board of Trade. He has been active in several professional and charitable organizations as a Chartered Accountant and as a Lawyer.

Lucie is an associate in our Fredericton office. She is engaged exclusively in the practice of Civil Litigation and specializes in Insurance Defense. Lucie is an active member of the New Brunswick Law Society and has been involved with several of their committees. She is also an active member of the Canadian Bar Association.

Individually, Gerald and Lucie excel in their respective fields of practice. Together, they are leaders in their profession and in their communities.
