This role is responsible for managing and overseeing our Microsoft 365 environment and network infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have network administrative skills with experience managing On-Premises Networks, including moving toward a cloud-based infrastructure, working from one of our offices in New Brunswick or Halifax, Nova Scotia.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES• Provide cross-functional knowledge and guidance on the configuration of Microsoft 365 related products
• Manage user accounts, configuring security and compliance policies, monitoring system usage, setting up and maintaining Microsoft 365 services
• Experience as Microsoft Administrator utilizing Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange
• Act as an escalation to issues relating to Office 365, Firewalls, and Cisco Routing/Switches
• Lead projects and collaborate with vendors on initiatives related to Microsoft 365 and on-premises network
• Proactively access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases to aid in technical support problem resolution
• Assist IT Managers and Regional Team with any technical support issues requiring remote assistance related to the network
• Perform scheduled updates and patches to the environment when required.
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent
• Preference to those with Azure Administration and/or Office 365 Administrative Certifications
• 4+ year’s experience in a managed IT services role overseeing all Office 365 environment
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services and applications (E3, E5. Microsoft Defender, Teams Voice)
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues promptly
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service orientation as this is a customer-facing role
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven technical, analytical and problem-solving tech support skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed with a passion for technology and I.T.
