We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Legal Assistant Office Support to join our Saint John office to provide legal administrative support to lawyers in various practice groups.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Draft a wide range of legal documents and correspondence;
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client and administrative files;
  • Meet deadlines, ability to multi-task and reprioritize;
  • Delivery of time sensitive documents, including bank runs outside of daily errands;
  • Act as back-up/relief receptionist;
  • Proofread, data entry, photocopy and other office related duties; and
  • All tasks must be performed with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Spoken and written proficiency in English is required, bilingualism is considered an asset;
  • 1 year of experience working in a legal assistant role or administrative lead role; or
  • Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is an asset;
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing skills;
  • Excellent proofreading, spelling and grammar skills;
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented; and
  • Superior organizational abilities and time management.
