Working as part of a collaborative team, the Intermediate IT Operations Lead is responsible for providing daily technical support, maintenance for hardware and software, and helping ensure the IT operations function properly.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Configure workstations, laptops, and servers according to specifications;
  • Perform remote and onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues;
  • Support desktop level support, including installing and upgrading software & hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems;
  • Monitor ticketing system (Fresh Service) to ensure timely resolution of tech issues;
  • Document tasks and chances to technical environments;
  • Follow existing check lists to ensure consistent results for routine and common tasks;
  • Proactively access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases to aid in tech support problem;
  • Assist IT Managers and Regional Team members with tech support and remote assistance;
  • Act as the backup to the local IT Manager when required;
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent;
  • 2-5 years experience in a similar IT role;
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues;
  • Experience using asset inventory and software deployment tools;
  • Strong competency in the usage of MS Windows computers and servers, Active Directory, Azure, Teams and Exchange Online;
  • Able to support a variety of mobile devices;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IDS/IPS tools;
  • LAN, WAN, VPN, routing and switching experience;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Flexible, reliable and works well in a team environment; and
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
