We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our St. John’s, who will provide timely processing of payments and general disbursement functions. The expected duration for this role is 14-18 months.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as part of a collaborative team, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting verification, coding, processing and payment of accounts payable invoices and expense reports;
  • Processing of all general and trust cheque requisitions, printing cheques and ensuring trust funds are available to meet requisitioned trust cheques;
  • Preparing the daily trust and general bank reconciliations;
  • Preparing daily trust bank deposits, GIC’s and wire transfers as required;
  • Collecting, entering, and verifying accuracy of client disbursements within the required timeframe;
  • Receipting incoming trust funds to client accounts; and
  • Other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary program with major course work in Accounting;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a computerized accounting work environment. Previous experience working in Accounts Payable considered an asset; and
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
